Additional Resources.Uprooting the logic of white supremacy requires every person to faithfully engage in this work. We challenge all people to seek out opportunities in your own churches or communities to make the work of undoing the legacies of racism and white supremacy part of your daily Christian practice. Crossroads Anti-Racism Organizing and Training—provides organizing, training, and consulting to institutions striving to dismantle racism. This includes analyzing internal policies and procedures that maintain white power and privilege, and helping to create an intervention strategy to dismantle oppressive systems.
Facilitating Racial Equity Collaborative (FREC)—dedicated collective of individuals and organizations committed to overcoming racism in Minnesota. Their mission is to work against structural racism and racial disparities. They organize for racial justice and advocate for best practices in the field.
Healing Minnesota Stories—an effort to create understanding and healing between Native American and non-Native people, particularly those in various faith communities, by bringing together Native and non-Native people to share stories and increase awareness of the value of American Indian language, culture, and our shared history.
Presbyterian Mission Agency’s Racial Equity & Women’s Intercultural Ministries—engages the Church in its mission to become more diverse and inclusive of racial, ethnic, cultural and language groups; supports African American, Asian, Hispanic/Latino-a, Korean, Middle Eastern, Native American and African Intercultural ministries; and creates an awareness of institutional racism in the church and an environment where people of color and new immigrants can serve fully in ministry and leadership.
